CIS working distance

Working distance and depth of field

There are predefined distances at which the CIS must be mounted in relation to the object to be scanned.
Each Working Distance (WD) , also referred to as Focal Distance , is determined and compensated for by the length of the lenses within the Rod Lens Array .
For any specific mounting distance, there is also an optimal range within which a sharp and accurate image can be obtained: this range is called the Depth of Focus (DOF) .
